Ned Webber

Founder, Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist

Ned’s interest in fitness began as a teenager when he was working to improve his skills as a high school wrestler. Ned has been professionally associated with the health and fitness field for close to 35 years. He first became involved in the mid 1980s when he started a personal training business in Manhattan. He worked as a physical therapist from 1992 to 2004 and then made the decision to return to the personal training business. During that period Ned also taught continuing education classes to other physical therapists and had a stint as a kinesiology instructor at Rutgers University.

Ned opened Phoenix Fitness to fill the local community’s growing need for exercise and fitness guidance and education. Ned holds Bachelor’s degrees from Rutgers University and the State University of New York-Health Science Center at Brooklyn’s College of Health Related Professions, as well as a Masters of Health Science from the University of Indianapolis. He is certified as a Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is also an NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).

When not training clients, Ned enjoys golfing, yoga, competitive sailing, stand-up paddle boarding, reading, cooking and the Jersey Shore and spending time with his family.
